Giro comments on the headway his predecessor (Kuro, or maybe an even earlier owner of the lab?) made in his research, before capturing Subject X-Ceres-in 949 to siphon her power. It is unknown whether this means they were killed, but Sid is known to survive believing his mother was killed when he was 4 (and mistaking Giro to be his father?). Unfortunately, Professor Giro arrives in 947 following the signal of "the defective model" (Kuro? A prototype of the Weapon? The Project, damaged from the fight with Ceres, transported back to 947?) and does away with the couple. The "alternative experiment" is a set of hibernation chambers for them to freeze themselves in until 999 as a last resort if they can't find a way to travel there. They place pictures of themselves on the laboratory walls, and in 946, Fina writes a message about Sid growing fond of his father. Later, in 943, they have a child named Sid (evident from the birth year printed on Sid's future gravestone). Eventually she does reunite with Kuro, as seen in the scene right before the credits, but it is debated whether this Kuro is the same one we played as or a clone created by Fina. She spends her days at the laboratory looking for a way to bring Kuro back and return to 999, leaving some (or all?) of those messages behind during her research. Here's the working theory:Īfter Ceres' defeat, Fina eventually follows Menos and Velvet through the portal, which leads out of the anomaly and into some time before 943. I'm pretty sure the note says the kid is 3 years old. ![]() Is the H in Heaven or Hell, the same in hibernation? Did the scientist actually went through with it and reappear at the time of the magi? Doesn't seem likely as the Magi said the anomaly was always there and lab would have been in the middle of it. Could the anomaly be the crossing point?Īlso to note, if there's no guardians in a version of the past, there would've been no guardian to eat the anomaly, but then the lab would be inside the anomaly and unaccessible. Did someone in that Lab create the guardians for the magi to discover them? If the lab scientist was a time traveler and we are in a loop, shouldn't the guardians already exist in the <950 period? Why would he need to create new ones? Could this be a double loop sort of scenario?Īfter all One symbol keeps emerging: infinity, and that symbol is not a simple circle but almost two of them crossing each other. You can find the guardians in tubes during the time of the Magi, however I remember an NPC Dialog that said that the Magi didn't create the guardians, but rather discovered them. Is that supposed to be Kuro's and Fina's kid? What happened to him?Īlso, Sid appears to be Giro's kid, but he mentions that his father dissapeared when he was 4 years old and his mom passed.Īfter G comes H, could this be in any way relevant? Can G be H's predecesor? Some theories have the couple being Kuro and Fina from the epilogue cutscene, with Giro appearing in 947 to do away with them, him and the woman. I've copied and pasted a transcription of the lab's wall that I found in the pinned The End topic. "This could be Heaven or this could be Hell. already loves doing odd jobs with his daddy." "A diagram of a Magilith that seems to show something is hidden inside." "Complex mathematical formulae can be dicerned.
